Festival schedule - summer 2017 with finale at Hej Fest Gubałówka, zakopane.
Submissions are accepted online from 1 to 15 May 2017. The Festival Commission will select the top 10 bands of all the entries. The results will be published by May 17th on the Support Acts Festival website.
Preliminary will be held at the Forty Kleparz Music Club in Kraków on 26 and 27 May, 2017. The 10 bands selected by the commission will present their 20 minute program during the two days of the competition. Once again, the Festival Commission will choose 6 of them. Special guests will be Organek and O.S.T.R.
Six selected bands come to the most famous music workshops in Poland at the Muzyczna Owczarnia, June 25th - July 2nd, 2017 in Jaworki near Szczawnica. Under the supervision of professionals the bands will work there on their songs and on the chosen song of one of the artists from Lesser Poland. The workshop will end with a final gala on July 1st in Szczawnica.
The Support Acts Festival finale will take place at the Hey Fest - a musical event at the Gubałówka peak in Zakopane. Between July 15th and August 26th the semi-finalists of the festival will present themselves among the stars of the Polish music scene, such as Lady Pank, Perfect, T-LOVE or Kult. Voting for the selected bands will be available for both the jury, gathered audience and the internet users.
On September 2nd, 2 bands with the highest number of votes will face each other in concert at Gubałówka.. During the concert everyone could vote on chosen band - both the audience and the Internet users. The winner will receive a sponsorship contract of 40.000 PLN (aprox. 10.000 euro).
2018 winter edition
The third edition of the Support Acts Festival will be held in the autumn. It will begin with the October preliminaries at the Forty Kleparz Club and finish with the finale in winter holidays during Krynica Źródłem Kultury festiwal.
The festival’s first edition was held last year from June 26th to September 12th in 2016. 18 Polish music stars and 16 bands took place in summer edition of Support Acts Festival.
